I have glasses but I do not wear them?

I mean I do wear them but only when I really need to. Like for driving and using them in class to see the board or projector. But I do not wear them while going somewhere like to a store. I have new glasses and the lens are just a little bit thicker. This causes me to get a little dizzy when turning my head fast. But I also dislike wearing them due to having social anxiety so that my vision would be distorted in a distance and not having to make eye contact due to having the feeling “everyone is looking at me”. And as well causes my anxiety to increase which causes me to sweat due to thinking that I look goofy with them on. Should I start wearing them for the sake of my vision?

No. Provided you wear them to meet legal requirements like driving, the rest is up to you as a (near) adult.

If you don’t settle to the glasses within two weeks at most, they either need adjustment to the frames or the lenses.
(most often the former).

But on social anxiety… If you’re walking past people on the other side of the street and not saying hello because you don’t recognise them, but they’ve recognised you, then you’re not doing yourself any favours.
