What kind of camera (and accessories) can I get with $1305?

I like to take pictures of nature (in Alaska) during the winters especially. Sports (outside) and people. My current camera is a Canon SD900 and I’ve had it for almost 3 years now. I need to upgrade.

If you don’t mind buying used then a Canon 20D and the Canon 70-200mm F/2.8L lens can be had for about that amount.

Whatever you decide to do I would invest more in the glass and less in the body. Sports is a very demanding type of photography that demands excellent glass.
